Comparison Of Two Types Of Slots Online ? ArticleDiscuss.com

For anyone who is new to the world of online casinos and gambling it is worth taking a little time to understand the differences between the two types of slots online. There is the downloadable version and the instant flash versions, both have advantaged and disadvantages.

Downloadable variations do have some distinct advantages and these include superior graphics, sound and game play. In most cases other experienced players and the casinos themselves will promote and push the option of downloading the software as opposed to playing the instant flash versions.

The main plus points of the downloadable software includes richer graphics and sound. The animation in the software is smoother and more pleasing to the eye; it is more stable and reliable. The user interface is usually much easier to understand and the waiting time to play is minimal compared to instant versions.

There are a few bad points to this version however and these are that it can take a little longer to get up and running, the size of the software can be anywhere from 100 to 250MB plus which can put a strain on low memory systems. The other disadvantage is you cannot login to your account from any other computer.

For those who do not wish to commit to a download or who want to be able to access their player account form any computer the instant version is the best way to go. The games will be played on a flash based player in whatever web browser you are using and take very little time to be ready to use.

However there are some distinct disadvantages such as the graphics may be dull and the sound quality is poor. Depending on the Internet connection being used the games can take longer to load, as each new game is loaded directly from the Internet. In general the gaming experience is not as reliable; this is simply because it is web based. This means if there are any errors or issues with the game while it is in use you may lose your game. Whereas the download versions do have a recovery system and the casino can try to fix the problem without affecting your game play.

Which system you choose to go with is entirely up to you of course, if you just want to try it out then taking advantage of the instant flash versions is one way of doing this. The instant version can also let you try a number of casinos out without having to download anything.

However the game play may well be hindered by the instant flash software and you may not get a proper feel for the system. This is why downloading is probably the better option, not only do you get better in game graphics and interfaces it ensures that the games can be played without the risk of interruption. As with any piece of software that is downloaded it can be easily uninstalled if you choose not to continue using that particular casino.
