Book guides photographers through the 'Art of Engagement ...

Elizabeth Etienne is an award-winning wedding and lifestyle photographer, and her new book, ?The Art of Engagement Photography,? provides great advice to aspiring photographers getting their wedding photo business started.

Etienne uses her own portfolio to illustrate how engagement photos don?t have to be the same old, staid portraits. She says that with a little bit of planning ahead and discussion with the couple, you can produce unique photos that brim with the couple?s personality and love.

The book features insider advice on pricing and selling the shoot, preparing ideas, scouting locations and organizing the props. There?s also info on everything from the basics of lighting to a guide to making additional income from the stock and fine art markets.

In addition to Etienne?s experience as a wedding photographer, she?s also a teacher and freelance writer and has images in Southern Bride, Rangefinder and The Times Journal of Photography. She explains things in a very easy-to-understand manner. Whether you are going into the business or about to have your own engagement and wedding photos taken, Etienne?s book has a lot to teach you to help ease your experience. It is $29.99, from Amphoto Books.
