Men's Basketball Wins Big in First Exhibition Game | Sports ...

For the first time in head basketball coach Matthew Driscoll?s tenure at UNF, the Ospreys scored 100 points. The team reached the century mark due in large part to the 17 three?s the team hit in a 100-76 rout of Flagler College Thursday night.

?Obviously it?s a great situation for our guys, for our students, for our school to start off with a game like that,? said UNF men?s basketball head coach Matthew Driscoll. ?We were blessed that we guarded well early.?

The Ospreys outscored Flagler 56-36 in the first half and never looked back. Junior forward Travis Wallace led the team with 18 points in the victory. True freshman guard Ray Rodriguez was second on the team in scoring with 16 points (6-7 field goal, 4-5 three point field goal) in his first collegiate game since Driscoll recruited him out of Hialeah Gardens High School.
